Today i lost an exo. I cant believe it. Ever since i brought them home they have been non stop action, all but one. One of them didnt seem to have dark spots either, they were barely there. Do they lose their spots when they are ill? I thought maybe my water was bad, so i ran a full test on the water and everything was good. And i didnt use test strips. I have a Nutrafin complete freshwater test kit. This sux, that little guy was $8. Now i know why piranhas are more popular, they are only $4 as babies, lol. Could he have been bullied to death? Damn, im confused, i can only think he was sick.

Very sorry to hear!! He may have been sick, likely stressed from
bullying. Exodons are similar to Piranhas in that the weakest
link never lasts long. I have also lost fish that cost good $$.
All we can do is try to understand why it happened and do the
best to prevent it from happening again,..unfortunately,..in
keeping aggressive predators in any cohab, there is allways
the chance of losses,..

yeah, i am keeping a close eye on them now. I just hope they will do ok with a small shoal of 5 now. I wonder if i should look for a local exo owner that will take 5 more. hmm.
