Hey Thank You! I unfortunately dont even have a incubator, I am going to pick up soon. I am gonna start looking into them they sell for around $50.00 for a cheap one that will do a nice job. I am not sure though if this egg is fertile because maybe I have two females which I dont think I do but maybe I do. Females can lay infertile eggs without a male being present so basically if the other leo is not a male then the egg is worthless.

    Hey,

Thanks, I was quite tickled about getting a egg. my little one which is the female (66 grams) she quit eating for like a week so I kind of thought something was wrong and was thinking about getting her into the vet but I didnt see anything could be wrong with her because I take the best care for my pets. Anyhow the other night after she popped that egg out I tossed a superworm in her terrarium and man she gulped that thing right down.

anyhow I didnt know what sex they were so I asked on gecko forums about it all and I put a pic on the one I thought was a male and sure enough it was so anyhow I got to get things back in order for the next clutch. I am going to try to go ahead and hatch them in a fish aquarium with warm water its relatively simple from what I have been reading up on. I am going to pick up some of that Perlite to put in for the eggs because its needed for hatching them. I will let you know if I get any more eggs usually the first clutch is of one egg and then the second clutch there should be two eggs. anyhow heres the pic of the male that I found out was a male.

My Gecko Just laid an Egg!! 00410

right across from my pinky is a bunch of dots kind of going in a "v" pattern that indicates its a male. I tossed the egg away unfortunately as I candled it basically held a light behind it looking for pink inside the egg and there was none but I have a real funny fealing this next one is going to be definately be fertile and I am going to be ready hopefully this time. Oh and one more last thing, I am finding specks of blood in the warm hide on the moist paper towel so he must be doing his work lol

    hey,

Yep I am going to go ahead and try to breed them. I dont have a hobavator incubator but im going to go ahead and try to do it in a empty 10 gallon aquarium with a heater. I do have to pick up some vermiculite or perilite bedding and it has to be mixed with certain water ratio in order for it to pan out. I have seen videos on hatching these guys out using a fish tank and it will work for now until I get the cash to purchase a hobavator which is going to definately be real soon.

    hey,

I never did pick any vermiculite up yet. I just seperated the male and female for the time being because its alot of stress on her being in with him like that when I dont have the stuff to breed. shes been spitting non fertile eggs though for a while now its just a part of what them females go through with that ovulating process. I hate it bad because it screws her feeding cycle way off she goes in stages where she wont eat for like a week at a time.
