Anyone Use 8x54w t-5 Nova extreme ?

I just got a killer deal on a brand new one of these. For my reef tank been wanting to get a 8bulb setup and get some clams anyone have any personal experience with this fixture?

I currently have a 4 bulb setup. Should i be nice to my corals and just run half the bulbs at first on the new fixture or full on swap it and whats the easiest way to not stress out stuff but keep everyone happy?

I have never used one so can't give you much help at to the light. Sorry !!

But, If you can control the light and not have to run all 8 at the same time I wouldn't. I would run 4 and add 2 for a few hours a week. So if you run your lights for 10 hours a day continue doing that, but run two extra's for maybe 4-5 hours for a week and a half or two weeks than run them with the other four full time. After that start over with the 7 and 8th bulbs .

Yeap I can control Daylights,actinic, and moon lights. I think ill ease into it similar to what you stated.

I did get my new light setup in the mail last weekend. I will post up some pictures as soon as i wean all the lights on maybe a week or so.
