Yeah, I gotta agree with you. Not too cool. I'm not opposed to seeing a goldfish devoured but an Oscar slowly ripped apart is too much. Sorry

what kind of moral ambiguity is this? Is the oscars life worth more just because you like it more? That's really pretty sentimental and silly. A fish is a fish is a fish. I might not cruise the web looking at videos of piranhas slaughtering things, but at least an oscar won't make the P sick like cypronids (ie goldfish) will. COnsider also that the Oscar would eat the P too....if he could...

The last oscar I have left which is also the largest ~7-8" is holding his ground very well in the tank with my 6" BDR. it actually charges towards the rhom sometimes and rhom knows what it's up against and unless it's very hungry other wise it doesn't bother the oscar. which is fine for me now that the tank has more movement together with a large school of convicts I have in there.
I'll keep the rhom well fed and see how long this "cohab" can last.

A fish is just a fish. So by your logic an eagle is just a bird, a cobra is just a snake, a jaguar is just a cat, right? Maybe you could throw an arrowana in there next. That'd be cool.

Its not just the kind of fish but how it went out. He fought for his life and died slowly. Don't get me wrong. I'm not one of these bleeding heart wacked out fanatical fish fundamentalist. In fact, I just got banned from Badman's because I would not bend over backwards to the demands to those wackos. But I just didn't dig it. I'm not saying that you don't have the right to do it and to post videos of it. It's just not my thing. That's all.
