Well I was doing some spot feeding right before light shut down tonight, decided to take a few photo's. I have been feeling real confident lately did a few fragging a couple weeks ago on some zoo's,mushrooms, and moved them around the tank some. Wasn't so hard as i first thought tricky part i found was crabs moving around the small zoo's and shrooms. The putty helped on a few that i did get attached to some small rocks.

These are a small yellow zoa patch that i just tried the putty on they were in the sand bottom of the tank for about 3 weeks hope they get some good growth high up in the light now.

Need to get these little guys closer to the light now that they are doing decent in the sand kidna difficult to get them on some rubble anyone ever try the super glue trick?

Fed the frogspawn some mysis and that is the first i actually seen his sweeper come out on the left to grab them usually they just kinda fly around him and very little bits get to his mouth, pretty stoked about that today.

We got this yellow goby prolly 3 months ago he was very tiny i never seen him didn't even know if he was alive untill a couple days ago.

Awesome setup Pboost! How long does it take to establish a SW
    tank like yours?

Few pictures to share. Empty Tank established

Post by pboost Sun 10 May 2009, 16:10

This tank has been setup amlost 2 years now, 50 lbs of the 200lbs of live rock was from a 2 year old nano tank that was alredy established with 100lbs of sand too that was added. After a 3 month cycle of nothing but saltwater and filtration going i added live rock and the substrate over the corse of a couple weeks. I would think total time to get a reef established and very stable would be 9-12 solid months. Before i would jump in and start tossing in corals would hate to lose pricey corals do to a water chem fluctuation.

Realy nice set up pboost. I can't imagine waiting that long to get a tank set up like yours. Although it would be worth it. That had to cost some great $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ there. My freshwater ones seem too kill me sometime. With the variety of foods and general care. flower
