i bet that depends on the size of the rhoms. I have heard of exodons keeping piranhas at bay, but i guess it all depends on the number of rhoms and the number of exodons.

all in all, i'm sure its a bad idea. lol

I figured as much...i don't want to grab a shoal and come home to an empty tank!

Think i should keep em solo! Exodons with Rhom's 63052

exodon king wrote:you can not guarantee anything. id be wary of making such a guarantee without any scientific backup.

keeping exodons with P's has been documented as far back as the early 70s, and is even showcased in many publishing's dating as far back. [The Piranha Book (Myers 1972)]. because of their unique shoaling properties and similar diet, they can be kept with P's, but you always run the risk of disaster when combining predators of any kind.
the FACT of the matter is, its really "hit or miss". as with many other predators and tankmates. i have seen shoals kept harmoniously with P's, and have seen cases where the exodons slaughter the P's. it really comes down to the individual fish involved.
while it is absolutely possible, it is not suggested.

    Hey king,

I definatelly will keep them solo as explained in this thread...a freind has 30 or so exodons but due too finances he can no longer keep them. No

They come with a 110gal that they have been in from the get go + he has a Black Diamond about 9 inches in a 90gal...i was curious if i combined them what the outcome would be?

The Shoal is doing well and the Diamond DOES love his solo tank so i think i will keep things this way for the safety of these beautiful specimens!

Thanxs for the feedback exodon king and when the shoal comes home with me i will be sure too post pics of the Exodons and the Rhom! Exodons with Rhom's 63052
