    APU wanted to give to all the heads up that Apple snails are no longer available for sale in the US. They outlawed them cause some dumb a*s stuck some in a rice patty field and they destroyed like millions in crop. Some people have the brightest ideas. Evil or Very Mad Takes just one to ruin it for all.

    What about those that allready have them? Are they grandfathered
    and safe to keep, or is there any mention of fining?

    You are allowed too keep any that you have.(grandfathered in) I'm sure if your caught letting them loose there would be a hefty fine possible more. As far as them breeding (cause they will breed quite easily I don't know what you'd have to do with any you'd like to get rid off) The just passed the law not too long ago. About 2 months ago I believe. I don't know if it'd be illegal to get give away babies??? Alot of places have been passing them off as mystery snails....the apple snails that they already had. Nobody like too loose a buck. I've been checking the net for more info but it's fairly new. Havn't found any yet. I will check again latter today.

    yep applesnails are not being sold no more I tried pick some up a while back and pet store guy said there illegal. yeah it sucks what people have to do to ruin stuff for others. I dont find it cool at all releasing stuff into the wild like that and thats why piranhas are banned in lots of states its because people were releasing there piranha in there local waters and they would live in alot of those areas. I know its just sad the way people has got to be.
